ABOUT UNO

For more than twenty years, UNO has been the Bay of Plenty's quarterly record, the magazine that takes the region seriously and asks readers to do the same.

The Bay is changing faster than the conversation about it. Tauranga is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing cities; the Port shapes a national economy; the orchards underwrite a global one; the city centre, the iwi-led developments and the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs are remaking our region. UNO is built for the readers who want to understand that, and who still want to know which restaurant to book, which house to walk through, and who's behind the brand on the shelf.

Independently owned and published from Tauranga, UNO is produced by some of the country's most experienced writers, photographers and designers. Four times a year, each issue carries the considered profile, the long-form feature and the questions worth asking, alongside the food, design, fashion, wellbeing and culture that make a quarterly read worth keeping. We sit mana whenua, makers, founders and the people deciding the next decade in the same magazine, because that's the Bay as it actually is.

You'll find UNO in the Tauranga Airport lounges, and in cafes, salons and professional waiting rooms across the Bay of Plenty and the Central Plateau - Whakatāne, Ōpōtiki, Rotorua, Taupō, as well as on shelves through the Waikato, Coromandel, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The full magazine is free to read online, 365 days a year.

UNO is what the Bay of Plenty looks like when it's taken seriously. We're glad you're reading.
