Come one, come all to Soper Reserve to enjoy some sweet melodies.

This summer, the 4000-capacity Soper Reserve, located outside the Mount’s The Rising Tide, is set to be transformed into pop-up venue Mount Park for the third year running. Designed for the way we love to live around here, it’s a great grassy site, easily accessible from Tauranga and the Mount along Newton Street. The Rising Tide and Mount Brewing Co are both on board to supply local beer to quench partygoers’ thirst.

Hosting a series of exclusive gigs, the Mount Park Summer Series provides attendees with the opportunity to see a few of their favourite artists without diving into a full festival experience. Running from 5pm 10.30pm, each gig delivers good sound, good lighting and good people.

There’s nothing better than being a Bay of Plenty local in summer; you don’t need to go anywhere else when these kinds of sounds crop up year after year in our own backyard. Mount Park promises around three or four killer concerts annually – top-notch acts from a wide range of genres. Two years ago, team UNO rocked out to Ja Rule and Ashanti at Mount Park, and last time our favourite was Hermitude. This year, you can take your pick from acts on:

December 28
The Mount Park Summer Series kicks off with some absolute bangers from Carmada, Sachi, Golden Features and Deadbeat.
December 30
The venue goes rock when Blindspott regroups for a mega 10-year reunion tour, bringing Hamilton rock/metal band Devilskin with them.
January 3
A new year begins with chilled-out sounds from reggae artists including Katchafire, Kora and Summer Thieves.
January 6
Get in quick for this one. With their reggae-rock golden glow, Sticky Fingers are absolute beasts – and sell out every time.
