The Weber Bros Circus is in town after eight years travelling the world. Their latest production, ADRENALINE, is on at the ASB Arena in Tauranga, and Rugby Park in Whakatāne.
This is a circus on steroids! The feel good show promises a night of escapism and positivity, blending stunning cirque artistry and acrobatics on the ground and in the air with hilarious slapstick comedy, mysterious illusion and extreme stunts including FMX jumps beneath the big top circus tent. There’s a Globe of Death (a spherical cage in which four riders encircle each other and perform precarious tricks) and one of the world’s only surviving human cannonball acts, fired right over the heads of the audience.
The German Weber family has been in the circus for seven generations. Circus CEO Harry Weber, a retired hand balancer, gets the huge spectacle from town to town. He has left his children with the job of performing acts such as the silks, motorbikes and trapeze.
There are plenty of modern takes on the traditional circus: the ring master is a ring mistress, there’s a strong woman as well as a strong man, there are laser shows, talented saxophone-playing clowns, daredevils on bikes, and feats which will test the limits of the human body.
Bring the whole family, and enjoy the excitement of a dazzling show in the big top circus tent.
