Laughing our heads off on Saturday night and celebrating Father’s Day on Sunday – this weekend is going to be wild!
Saturday 2nd September
The play with the creepy name is an adaptation of the classic Ealing comedy, that remains one of the Britain’s best-loved films for the last 60 years.
The plot hasn’t changed much since: criminals pretending to be musicians occupy an old lady’s guesthouse room. It doesn’t take Mrs Wilberforce long to discover they are actually planning to rob a casino. The gang decides to kill her. How hard is it to murder one little old lady?
Irish director and comedy writer (and a Twitter star with 146K followers) Graham Linehan took the scenario and adopted it for the stage, turning traditional comedy into a real madcap.
The Ladykillers is on the 16th Ave Theatre’s stage up until September 16th.
