Sisters & Co has to be one of our favourite shops in the world. Rather dangerously, it’s less than a minute walk from UNO. HQ in The Mount. Aaaarrrgghhh pain and pleasure! Last night we were invited to bubbles and canapés, followed by the most delicious, intimate dinner, whilst we took in Juliette Hogan’s spring summer 2017 collection on the catwalk, accessorised by Love and Object’s jewellery.

And all styled in Sisters & Co. Juliette and Constance told us all about the creativity behind their lines.

On Juliette’s beautiful print for her collection, Quiet Noise: “This has to be my favourite print I’ve designed. I think the name, Quiet Noise, represents my life at the moment. There an awful lot of noise, and I often try and find quiet in the midst of it all! I think there’s something very beautiful and grounding about this print. It’s feminine, but has a masculine edge – you don’t feel like you are going to blow away on a puff of wind. The pinks are grounded by the terracotta and blue tones. And you should always remember you don’t have to wear something bold and bright to make a statement.”

I like that thought. It’s easy to fall into the trap of wearing either black, or something loud. I particularly had my eye on the jumpsuit in that print. Perfect with heels for a wedding, or cute white trainers for the office in spring.

Constance Cummings introduced her new fine jewellery line, Olympia, by Art and Object. “I’ve always loved the classics and art. Olympia is inspired by Boticelli’s Birth of Venus, one of my favourite pieces of art, and one I’ve visited many times.”

The sensuality and romance of ancient art is reflected through the whole Olympia range. We tried on some of the Love and Object gorgeous vintage pieces after dinner. As Constance said, “Jewellery is there to be worn, so go for gold!”

What a special evening, catered by Blank Canvas, styled by KM Interior Design, and goodie bags with a delicious, rich, face mask Girl Undiscovered. Perfect for a skin detox after indulging in bubbles! Thank you for inviting us.
