When it comes to insurance, you want to make sure it’s done with the right people. Ben Ruthe and Steve Rogers are the right people. When I met them they were knowledgeable, relaxed, well informed and friendly.

Centrally located in Chapel Street, Financial Independence has been around since the eighties. Ben is one of the directors and joined the team ages ago, and Steve, well he’s the new guy in the office. Both, however, are experts in insurance broking and advising.
LET’S MEET STEVE
S. I’ve been in the industry for 20 years and had previously been working for a corporate broking company. I knew it was time for a change, but I said to my wife that the only place I’d go was to Financial Independence, simply because of Ben’s name in the industry. Lo and behold, he phoned me the following Monday and asked me if I wanted to join the team. It was entirely coincidental and fateful.
B. I was looking for someone to bring on and Steve was the first person I called. We have a similar fit and manner in the way we treat our clients and we pride ourselves on giving sound advice.
S. This is a great close-knit family environment with a work hard, play hard attitude. As Ben said, it’s the fit, but it’s also the personality that goes with it.
THE NITTY GRITTY
B. We offer insurance advice on commercial risks, which together with our domestic, life and health specialities, means we cover all bases.
S. The team of advisors at Financial Independence have a service-driven, as opposed to sales-driven, attitude, which makes it both an attractive place to work and be a customer.
B. Our primary focus is advice, but we also shop around to find the best option to suit your needs. We are here to take care of you throughout the whole process. When you need to make a claim, you won’t be put through to another department. We are not a call centre; you will deal with us. This personal service is just so fundamental to our business.
We treat our clients the way we’d like our parents to be treated.
