Best of the Bay weekend (28th — 30th July)

by | Jul 28, 2017 | Food & Drink, Travel

There is so much going on in the Bay of Plenty every weekend. UNO. has picked the best events so you don’t miss out.

Friday 28th July — Easy Rider at Cult Cinema Club

Feeling like a cosy, laid back Friday evening? Check out Cult Cinema Club. Kimberley Cleland and Melanie Mills have created a unique space for film buffs: movies, cool snacks and drinks all set in the lovely cobbled streets of the Historic Village. It’s a bit like a fun pyjama party, but not at home! Each two weeks, Cult Cinema shows a classic movie. Today, it’s Easy Rider. Who doesn’t love a good old American road-trip?! The film starts at 7.30 pm but come early and stock up on hot chocolate,  cookies and plenty of other goodies (served from 5.30 pm).

Where: The Historic Village, Seventeenth Ave West, Tauranga

Price: $20

Sunday 30th July — Katikati walkways

Get some exercise! A great reason to visit Katikati — the one and only Haiku Pathway. Imagine walking, admiring nature and reading at the same time. Talking about nature — this Sunday at 9 am, you can also volunteer to count robins, the cute native birds finally back in Aongatete Forest. Drop an email to jan@netsmart.net.nz if you are keen.

Where: 837 Wright Road, Aongatete, Katikati

Price: free
